I buy my custom wraps for wife and me from Onestringer. I like to buy in quantity to get a break. That can be an issue if the unused wraps sit around for more than a couple years. I had the edge come up on a set. To solve this problem I wipe on a thin coat of waterbased polycrilic with a foam brush. Actually I got into this habit cresting the plain wraps I bought from them. Protection of the cresting. Since doing this, about 10 years) never had any wrap edges come up. Either Bohning or Saunders NPV or super glue works for fletching .

I've been using wraps for many years. Nice clean look, and so easy to apply.

The nice part about wraps over carbon shafts besides looks and visibility is that your Fletching stays put... Fletching right on carbon has resulted in feathers popping loose occasionally... NEVER have that problem using CA on vinyl wraps. It literally welds the fletch to the wrap...

So, do you apply cresting paint right over the vinyl wrap material?
Those look great.

Yes, I currently use Tamiya Arcylic model paints to crest. I have used Bohning Fletch Laq as well. Also Testors model paints although I didn’t like how they flowed out. It’s bone dry here and the paint was drying as fast as I was applying.
