rare but painful
« on: May 28, 2023, 02:38:01 PM »
I was out shooting today and this happened...

It is pretty painful when it is a self nock but I was impressed with the sinew wrap at the nock. I was shooting a bow I got from James Parker at the Classic this year, 50#@26", boo back and belly High Country. The shot was from 15 yards.

I think I’d break down and cry doing that…. Those are some nice self nocks.

It is a bit of a bummer. I think I'll try to repair it by splicing on another section and cut a new self nock. I enjoy making arrows and making them with self nocks so coming up with a repair should come in handy if it works. If not, that's the breaks.  :bigsmyl:
