Hello there, back to archery after a long break.
I recently learned that AZ has a very early archery-only squirrel season which extends my hunting a couple of weeks to maybe, finally, probably not, complete the Mountain Small Game Challenge.
In the past 10 days I've been all over the map - compound or recurve, picked the recurve, ordered flu-flus, practiced with the old arrows I had on hand, disappointed how long it is taking to regain accuracy and blaming draw weight, today at lunch I bought a PSE 30# Razorback.
It is shooting the 29.5" or so 400 spine arrows pretty good (as far as I can tell in NW AZ wind) but when the brown truck arrives with my 31" flu-flus I hope to see some improvement.
My very narrow goal is: to take an Albert's, a Kaibab and a red squirrel between Aug 18th and September 1st.
I figure 20y would be my max, any tips for training?
