Hello all! Yep, another tool in the shed and it’s an HH style flat bow, my first…. Well, not exactly. When I was in “let’s build one” mode, I got one of the 3R flat hickory bows, mostly finished except final tillering, and sand n seal. It was a long bugger and had no reinforced grip area. The bow came rounded on all edges so adding lams to build it up was a bit more than I wanted to swing so I just got it tillered evenly and shot it. So much hand shock it quickly became behind the door fodder. So now, I got a very nice bow and there is quite a bit of hand shock and I am just not accurate at all with it. So it must be me. It has a pretty straight grip so that could be part, but I really don’t know much except to grip and rip as a relaxed thumb to forefinger just doesn’t feel secure or right.
