I shoot 65#s and 650 grain arrows with Rocky Mt. Cut Throats.  This is really more than needed as I have shot a lot of elk.  I had this setup for Africa (Namabia) and it worked great.  Complete pass thru on all animals.

You'll be fine with that setup. Shot placement is crucial, avoid the ribs and shoulder blade and you should get a pass through.
My elk arrows are hardwood footed Doug fir with 225 gr. Grizzly Kodiak or 300 gr. Tuffhead up front, TAW is over 700gr. Shooting a 53# @ 28" Black Widow longbow.

Jason, a low 50's# bow is plenty for elk if you have the right arrow/broadhead combination. And if you're within the sweet zone of 20 yards or less.

I like your EFA Cherokee quiver, I have the same one. So small and light I barely know it's there, except of course when I need an arrow.  :campfire:

Get your knives sharp.  That set will be plenty.

Thanks Mac, that is actually a Kanati quiver I bought from Terry.

Jason
Too many bows to list, and so many more I want to try!  Keep the wind in your face, and your broadheads sharp.

bow setup is great if you don't know learn how to bone out a elk if you can't get close or don't have pack animals.

Jason, that's a fine looking quiver! After you told me it was a Kanati I zoomed in and saw that the mount behind the arrow gripper is different than the EFA. The hood looks very close to the Cherokee and fooled me.  :campfire:
