Trad Gang down time ...
« on: May 16, 2008, 11:36:00 AM »
A problem occurred between last night and this morning during the build of the new Trad Gang server that caused our system to go offline.  We apologize for the down time and any inconvenience to our members.

Over the next few weeks, and prior to the St Judes auction, Trad Gang will migrate to new server hardware that will nearly triple the overall efficiency of our site's performance.  We will still retain the current UBB forum software, so nothing will appear different in appearance or usage.

Thanx,
Rob.

I called Terry this morning thinking Biggie had pulled some nasty deed.  Thought for sure he was up to no good.  :knothead:

I've got people watching Biggie....he spent the whole night at a Dunkin' Donuts so this blip in the system was not his doing.

Man I was a jonesing for some tradgang this morning.  I had to actually do a little work instead of catching up on the posts.  At least I'll have all afternoon on here.

I was out turkey hunting this morning and came back to a full in box of guys freaking out because they couldn't get on.    :biglaugh:

I was nice though and didn't tell them all that they  must be the only one.

Discovered it was down last night... had several posts from the Longbowmen re the horror of it all... what to do... pacing... etc.   i sent them this advice from Doc Wightman (one of my stage names when I was performing.. :^)

Yes, Trad Gang is down... probably for maintenance.  try again in the morning.   Meantime, if suffering withdrawal symptoms, Doc Wightman prescribes:

Sit down and clear your mind until you breathing is regular.  Then, allow a picture or idea of a bow you'd like to have to come into your mind... one you have never had or shot, but want enough that you've looked into it.   Now, using your mind as a computer... virtually buy that bow.   Select all the specs and features you would like to have.   Write the check (mentally).  Allow a little time for anticipation... more or less depending on what you know of the bowyer's delivery time.   Imagine getting the package..... opening it.   Stringing it up... setting a nock point.... the first shooting session...  your pride in putting it on your rack...

OK... enjoy your virtual bow tonight.    Trad  Gang will probably  be back tomorrow.
