10/7 Indiana Buck

Welp, didn’t expect it to happen on my first morning sit, but hey! That’s why I was there! Had a forkie come in a little after 8am. He milled right past me to a big white oak. While feeding he snapped his head up which made me look and all I could see was rack! Of course it stayed up high instead of going right past me like the forkie. Well, while the forkie was feeding he fed right to where I walked. He sniffed and sniffed and sniffed never really alerting(no I don’t use scent spray) but he was very curious. He proceeded to nip and sniff his way almost right to me. If it wasn’t for the scrape he walked to I think he would’ve went the 5 more feet to the base of my tree. When he stopped for that scrape the other buck decided to walk out of the thick stuff and provide a shot. I send it and it was back a bit, but he just bounced about 20ft and looked around still chewing. Then he started to walk to me again! I grab another Woodsman tipped arrow and when he turned at about 15yds let it slip again. Solid hit on that one. It got a bit more western after that as for some reason he STILL hung around. I don’t stop until the animal is down. My PL helped me out again! Thank the good Lord for a good recovery and a nice, fat 8pt for the freezer!
