My new bow arived today and I attempted to begin the tuning process. The bow is a Predator Classic drawing 57lbs at my 27" draw w/ FF string. I tried CE 150 with 250grns up front and I still show weak with a 27 1/4" arrow. I am new to carbons and can anyone make a recomendation. I am thinking 250's but I am not sure.

You can shoot the 150s but with a lot less tip weight. The 250s will work great with that kind of weight up front.

150's, 250's, if the gosh durn manufactures would use spine to identify their arrows it would make things a lot easier.
Blueslfb, you could get more in put from people who arn't familiar with the CE line you saying your spine is .500 which is what I think you need.
I shoot 56 at 29 and use a 30 inch .500 with 200 upfront. Hope that helps.

I believe the 150's are .500 spine (650-150=500), If the bow is close to center shot I would think the 250's (.400 spine) are in order with the aluminum insert and the 250gr point.

Can you drop down and try some 150-175 grain points? These will probably bring you better in tune.

I can shoot the 150s with 150gr tips cut down to 28.5" with my 28" draw length. That's shooting them through a 55#@28" cut to center recurve. I like the 250s because they provide me with more shaft weight and I can shoot 225gr upfront. They punch the target really well and are very stable in flight. But the 150s can work also..just need to go down in tip weight.

How did the spine of the 250s work out? How low are they hitting compared to your fletched shafts? If they are hitting way low you still have work to do adjusting your knock point up and down. Just remember that you can get a false knock high from the arrow kicking off the shelf if you adjused too low. I had that problem the first time I tried this and it drove me nuts till I saw someone mention it. Came back up a hair and cleared it out.
You also may want to walk away from it and come back the next day.

I tried getting a bareshaft close before fletching a bunch up but I can't even get one close. I have tried everything from 5/8 above to zero and I still have a high knock indication. I put a little material under the shelf to see if that helped but it did nothing. I think I will have to try an elevated rest. I don't know what else to do.
