2 or 3 or 4 blade

Just wondering, what is the broadhead design of choice for stick bow guys.  2 blade, 3 blade or 4 blade?  Poundage of bow might be interesting, as well.

I'm a two blade kind of guy regardless of the bow weight (52 to 58 pounds) I'm shooting. I like the way they sharpen and I never need to worry too much about penetration. I've always been partial the the Black Diamond Eskimo's but have been known to deviate on occasion with Razorheads and Stingers.

I shoot a much larger width broadhead on turkeys...usually a Simmons Treeshark or Landshark as the shots are very close and the birds very tough with an extremely small kill zone. I've never wanted to try the wider heads on larger game as the Eskimo's are proven to me.

As they say, you don't fix what isn't broken.

I've shot them all and killed critters with all of them, just be sure they are sharp ! I prefer a two blade and bleeders or a two blade like a Zwickey Delta. My bow weight for big game was 55# but I'm down to 49# now and shooting stingers with bleeders.

Killed many deer with 2, 3 and 4 blade, but the majority with Zwickey 2 blade Delta. However, yesterday I killed a doe with a 160 Snuffer that was scrubbed back and forth on wet 600 sandpaper and stropped on leather board with White Gold stropping compound....yikes..blood trail out both sides of deer 4 feet high on brush, on ground and everywhere. My main concern tracking was trying to avoid painting my camo red. This new sharpening technique is fantastic. I will use more Snuffers and Woodmans from now on. Bows usually 50-55# and even down to 45# and arrow weights 12-13 gpp.

Either 2 blades or 2 blade with bleeders for me, usually hunting at 55#. With wood arrows I used glue on vented magnus 125g for years, still have a bunch, not even sure if they make the vented version anymore.  With aluminum or carbon I have recently been using the stingers with great results, also bought 30 steel force 125g broadhead a few years ago on sale and have also been happy with the results on deer. My favorite broadheads were the old bear razorheads, I still have a few, they sharpen easy. What I DON’T like about most broadheads these days is the price!  There’s no such thing as a cheap broadhead anymore.

I like 2 blade single bevels. For bigger game like elk and moose, I like heavy heads between 200 and 300 gr. from a 53 to 60# longbow @ my 28" DL.

I found the 344 stay sharp for three blade heads and it elevated the sharpness drastically.

Wud, thanks for sharing info on the "344".  I shoot 3-blade Woodsmans and VPA's and that looks like the ticket to sharper heads.

3 blades for me as well; Started off with Roger's Snuffers, then the Brothers Woodsman and Bill Semerod's 54;  I prefer to have a good blood trail and the 3 blade has always been there for me.

344 sharpener takes them from 60 degree to 44 degree bevel and that makes a huge difference.  It made my Snuffer 160's so scary sharp.  Shot a javelina with my Big River recurve at about 11 yards and the arrow ended up @15 yards past were he was standing when it hit him.
