Vince Smith of Lonesome Wind Custom Bows will be doing a seminar on the complete process of snakeskin backing your bow. The seminar will cover everything from selecting and skinning a snake, prepping the skin for backing, glues to use, dealing with knot holes, and Vince’s method for applying a smooth snakeskin to your bow.

Yancy on his Spiral Slam with a primitive bow!
Mike Yancey has been in the Primitive and Traditional archery business for 25 years as Pine Hollow Longbows. Mike will be speaking about Primitive and Traditional Bowhunting in South Africa. The first everto complete the South African spiral horn slam with a primitive bow as well as the first recorded in modern times to take an American big game animal with a sinew backed horn bow. Mike will share all the ins and outs of hunting with this type of bow.

Dick and Yote both have had bowhunting success at the age of 12 and have 91 years of combined bowhunting experiences.
Dick is the founder of Robertson Stykbow which has been in business for 45 years. His family business has been highly respected for their innovation and quality craftsmanship. He was a charter member of the Montana Bowhunters Association and organizer of the Traditional bowhunters of Montana. He is also a life member of the Professional Bowhunter Society and a member of the Compton Bowhunters. Dick has up the challenge of archery along the way. Progressing from Recurve to longbow and Self bow as well
Yote Robertson has been a highly successful bowhunter of most North America big game and has taken 4 full curl Dall Sheep with a longbow. He is a resident of Alaska and spends his spring and fall guiding hunters. He had a masters guide license in Alaska and has guides over 25 years, He has help hunters to become successful in harvesting Brown Bears, Moose, Sheep and Mountain Goats. When is not in Alaska he often comes by the Robertson Stykbow shop to help out and is an excellent bowyer as well.
The love of high places and wilderness has been the driving force in their outdoor adventures and the simplicity of the traditional bow has been their weapon of choice
