5/16 field points

Does anyone know of a place where you can get 5/16 glue on field points heavier than 125 grains for woodies?  I picked up some nice 5/16 shafts and need 160 grain field points.

If you can't find anything commercially available, you might try cutting a 35 grain ring off a 11/32” point.  As you can see, they jam together snugly.  You could either tap the two together until the two pieces were flush at the back of the 5/16” point, or you could leave some overhang which might offer some protection to the arrow shaft.

You may end up doing what I did. Buying the 3Rivers kit for drilling the shaft, then adding weight.

I don't know if they're deep enough but I used to take plumbing solder and melt it into a point until I reached desired weight. I t has the advantage of going all the way in and not wasting space.

I used to drill a hole in the end of the shaft and stuff a nail shaft of the right weight into it. Worked fine. Didn't need a kit.

Tungsten electrodes for Tig welding come in a variety of diameters and would be easy to set into a shallow hole in the shaft..I'd say get some 3\32" dia use a grinder with a cut off wheel, cut some pieces off and weight them..tungsten is very dense and wouldn't need as deep of hole as other lighter metals in the arrow shaft.
