Myself and Roadkill
drove from Reno NV to Laredo TX I never hunted Javelinas before, Terry and Joe showed us how to setup and what to expect. Day one I had two shots the first one I can't even tell you what happen other than just missed didn't pick a spot the next shot the Javelina just dodged the arrow, Terry told me there were FAST! never seen this kind of fast I had three more shots missed two and I hit one
Terry and I looked for blood for hours never could find any. Terry is a bloodhound he went in the thickest stuff I have ever seen, camp was great Terry gave a broadhead sharpening class and explained why he uses the broadheads he does.
Roadkill hanging wind indicators this helps on stalks,
Terry help us get read for hunt. more to follow.

As I was walking down a Sendero, I noticed some noise in the brush. I circled around and startled a couple of Havelina that tried to get away, but got hung up in some wire panel. I wish I could’ve gotten my phone out sooner because they were crashing into the wire fencing like crazy trying to get out of there. I did my best to try to calm them down, telling them that it would be OK. They were only around 2 yards away. They did not seem convinced.

Did I mention the time that the Javelina tried to hitch a ride in my RAV4?

On day 3 Terry hunted with Skip "AKA Roadkill" and myself we had not seen the number of Javelinas like the day before and it was lunch time so I was walking up to were Skip and Terry was and about halfway up I caught some movement I knew right away it was a Mountain Lion it was about 15 yards yards from me. The Mountain Lion didn't see me it was stalking something and it was in full sneak mode, I tried to get a clear shot but the brush was just to thick, I got up to were Terry and Skip were relayed my story and Terry grab his bow and went it to Predator mode, I don't how many Mountain Lions I have seen but that one was the best the closes I been to without a pack of hounds.

I'm really looking forward to getting back down there. It is a "target-rich" environment. Lots of javelinas.
