Fletching colour chartreuse
« on: January 23, 2024, 02:03:43 PM »
I was thinking more of a bright flashy yellow. Like neon yellow. I got the wraps from onestringer. Good colour. Ordered chartreuse full length feathers but was suprised. I would have called them more of a lime green.  I wasn’t familiar with the colours. I wanted neon bright yellow wraps with matching feathers. I had three arrows made already. I don’t recall the colour yellow I had used but they were more dull in colour. Do any have pictures of their chartreuse fletchings?

I don't have pics, but mine are more of a bright yellow.  I think the color may have been called fluorescent yellow, not chartreuse.

Ahh. I won’t be sending back.  Frig it.  They still might look ok.  The wraps just wrap the full diameter of those micro diameter gold tip trad xt’s.  Almost feel like edge of wraps has an edge where they do not overlap.  But I guess I’ll have bright yellow wraps and the lime coloured fletching

Here’s a pic of my arrow with chartreuse wrap and fletching.

Yes!  Like your pic above.   That’s what I thought I would have gotten. Wraps yes. But feathers look more lime. Literally like a lime

On my way to work for few weeks. Wish I had a picture of them. Maybe they’ll look the right colour once I chop them.

Wraps are from onestringer and feathers from Big Jim’s.

I don’t bother with the cock feathers anymore. Been liking the solid colours. Same wraps and feathers

It may be that chartreuse yellow is what you're looking for, although I’ve never seen any feathers in that specific color.  But from the description of the color, it's like mixing half yellow and half chartreuse, so it ends up with only half the green normally found in chartreuse.

Yes.   I sarcastically told my gf that what if someone sees me in the woods with different coloured feathers to wraps.   She said it shouldn’t matter to me because I go to the grocery store in greasy work jacket and rubber boots

I use flo yellow from Gateway. Wrap from One stringer or ones I make from vinyl paper then crest.

Fluorescent yellow and chartreuse are two different colors, the latter has more green in it. I prefer the fluorescent yellow like m60gunner and Mnfn show, because it appears brighter/visible in low light.
