a new one in the stable + pics of jaketrickshotjr
« on: May 18, 2008, 11:03:00 AM »
this is my sons first custom bow...it is a forward handle design built by tom moran (one of our many outstanding michigan bowyers)..it is all tulip wood, 48# @ 28" , 60" long.  Jake doesnt know i shot the first dozen arrows thru it...shes quiet, stable, and shoots where you point....the bottom limb in the 3rd pic is toms lettering..no flaws here..... enjoy the pics..

Ok...i added some shooting pics of jake 13yrs old (he calls himself trickshot)jr after all the requests..lol   great kid with a great bow..

Very nice. Great move dad.

Oooooo.. that's pretty! All the best with it!
Someday you and I will take the Great Hart by our own skill alone, and with an arrow. And then the Little Gods of the Woods will chuckle and rub their hands and say, "Look, Brothers. An Archer! The Old Times are not altogether gone!"

i dont want to let out any secrets...but this is the quietest bow ive ever shot ....i ran the braceheight from 7.5" to 8" ......b50 string with no silencers..... just plain dead quiet... not even a twang...my son smiles after every shot..... its a keeper.

Are you looking to adopt a 47 year old, 280# son with 3 kids by any chance? Great bow!
