The idea is to get into better alignment by rotating your shoulders until they are pointed at the target. When you draw the bow as a RH shooter, your shoulders may initially be lined up pointing to the left of the target. If you have someone who can help you, have them put an arrow on your shoulder blades while you are at full draw, and see which way the arrow is pointing. If it is pointing to the left of the target, rotate your shoulders until the anrrow is pointed at the target. We call this “moving into the bow” because after you rotate your shoulders, the left side of your chest will be closer to the bow. This is why some top archers have to use a chest protector. After you make this movement, you will find that you are in better control of the bow, and your groups should tighten up.
Of course, if you are near the limit of your strength, you may not be able to make this movement, which indicates that you are overbowed, at least until you build up your strength some more.
