My cant varies a bit depending on the bow and the shot being taken. With a bow that isn't cut to center, I cant a bit harder, whereas the more cut to center a bow is, I have to hold it more vertical or I start to miss left. I also cant harder on closer shots versus longer shots. I don't really think about it, it just sort of happens.
I practice different angles as well just for those scenarios where everything cant be perfect, as often happens in a hunting situation. The buck I shot this year my bow was almost horizontal, while the doe it was almost vertical to clear some branches. It's pretty amazing how your brain will account for those changes in the heat of the moment.
