Ground seat
« on: February 25, 2024, 03:44:11 PM »
I use a strap on stand as a ground hunting seat. Its level so you can sit or stand comfortably. I try and put it on a big tree or a tree with something next to it. Anybody else use one?

I see not many do this. What do you sit on?

I do! Stand has been on the same Hemlock for 10 years or so
I only shoot WOOD arrows... My kid makes them, fast as I can break them!

About 20 years ago, I made a bench out of a 2x12 rough cut oak plank
Put it at the base of a Hemlock tree where I killed my first buck in 1978
About 10 years ago, one of the kids at camp gave me an old chain on stand.
I took it all apart and replaced all of the bolts. I put it all back together, leaving just the foot platform to use as a seat.
It'll last longer than I will...

Unless the tree comes down...??
