How many strands Dyna 97 do you use for a 50 pound recurve or DR glass bow? Thanks.

I’ve been using 14 strands for #55ish, could go less but 14 gets me the diameter that works for my knock size.
caught between:If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it and can’t leave well enough alone.

I use 12 but we made a 6 for bro's 48# @ 28 and he shot it for a couple years til he started using a different bow. No probs but a PITA to get serving right and look like anything...

Years ago I had a lot of D97 strings made at both 12 & 14 strand. It’s not bad material, but there are other materials I prefer now.    Kirk
