200 grain screw in, 1.125 and 1.25" cut , can't tell any difference in penetration so far, unless it be the position I'm contorted into and short draw a bit.
I've shot the 1.125" for several years with good blood trails but got some 1.25 " last year...
Most stuck in the dirt with a 530 grain arrow total weight

With limited heavy weight glue-on options I think the 190 grain Snuffer heads I still have will be my wide option. Or 160 grain with a woodie weight.

Wudstix, I was pretty sure that glue on snuffers only went up to 160 grains.

Pat;
In the early days Roger made a bunch of different weighs as they were all hand made; 190, 175, 200, etc. Not large bunches of a specific weight. Those odd weights are rare. I ran across a half dozen in a knife trade. Once they got the process refined he made 160 grain heads. After the company was sold they started making 160, 145, 125 etc... Then it sold again and I think they started making more options. Currently, I believe they are making lighter weight heads that sell now.

VPA 3 blade glue on, 160 gr, 1/8" cut. I get desired overall weight by epoxying to a steel adapter (75 grn).
This is my ONLY 3 blade head I hunt with. I do not and have not tried the small game thumper.

Based solely on the first size given, 250 gr is the favorite.

1-1/8" 250 grain screw in, 29" Carbon express 150s, 4 4" low bananas with nocturnal nock = 580 grains. Stone cold deer killers.

I use the 1-1/4 in 150 175 or 200 depending.
Also I do have some SGT’s in same weight but have been using hex heads lately for no particular reason.

I have used the 160 gr. glue-on three-blade. They are 1 1/8 inch. Very high quality and easy to get very sharp.

200 grain 1 1/8”. 300 grain 1 1/8. I asked them to consider making some 1 1/2” with vents like the old Snuffers. Would love to see them take that up. My favorite for turkeys.

I would add that the 300gr 1 1/8” are the toughest head I’ve ever shot. Pretty tough to ruin one under normal circumstances.

I use the 190 as well for bows 50-55lbs. Flies true, and usually complete pass through. I botched a shot last year and it hit forward and high. Broke the near side scapula and went on to punch through the far side. Dropped the deer right there, Was using the Wesley Special, 55 lbs. 15 yard shot. Arrow total mass was 674 grains.
1 1/8th width.

Will be testing on Iowa spring turkeys, Manitoba black bear & Iowa whitetails

For glue on heads it seems like VPA has 160 or 190 grains, which should work fine. Not many glue on 3 blade heads being marketed above 200 grains, glad I picked up a few 250 grain VPA's while they were available.
