Right now it would be just about any nice 1 piece longbow so I could get to shooting.

Assuming the bow I have is NOT my DREAM bow, which is just about a lead pipe cinch that I won't be, I guess I would take an Adcock 3 piece longbow.  Every time I go back and look at pictures of them I want one.  Too bad they are WAY out of my range.  Sadly it probably will REMAIN in the category of DREAM BOW.

Oh well....

Wait a sec...if anyone out there happens to be reading this thread and is feeling overly PHILANTHROPIC, I will gladly accept your gift!  :bigsmyl:

I already have it, I just am not sure which one it is.  Would have a real tough time deciding between my Hill, Robertson, GN Critter Gitter or Dwyer longbows.  Would pick one about 55# and 64 inches, maybe two inches longer on the Hill.  Luckily, I don't have to pick.

Currently my dream bow is a Hill Halfbreed (yew outside and boo in) around 55# @ 28 with clear glass, elk tips and wrap and a bacote riser.  Not sure about the grip, probably either straight or locator (big hands but used to my pistol grip recurve).

I hope to order that in a month or so, so we'll see if it remains my dream bow or not.  :-D

I'll amend mine and say that the Morrison riser I am getting is somewhat plain compared to many.  My ideal Morrison would have a riser more like this one:

Treadway "Black Swamp"
Super Shrew

These Great Plains bows are beautiful. Perhaps when I chose my Morrison, it was good that I didn't know all the available options...might have been overwhelming.

I have not shot enough bows to  know what my "dream bow" is, or would be. I just bought a new Mahantango, ad it is pretty sweet. It is a Hill style bow and now I am really into this style bow. I've been looking around and I think I would love a 70" Hill Roughed Grouse with an extra lam of boo that draws in the low to mid 50's#.

Lots of Silvertip mentions. They sure are sweet looking.

Mine remains a dream. The one that draws the biggest critters, never misses, a dream to draw & let loose etc. etc. etc.
In reality, any bow I can shoot when I'm in range of a nice quarry.

It is the thrill of the hunt I seek most. Doesn't matter what vehicle if any I used to get there, what "lucky" clothes I have on, where or when really, long as it's legal, or what bow or arrow. It is the hunt.

Long live DA HUNT!

I got to fondle a Snakebit this weekend. I'd have to say I'll second BMN. Nicest piece of art I have seen. (Thanks JL)

I THOUGHT THE OBJECT OF PASSION WAS TO NEVER STOP DREAMING. THE BOW IS A TOOL IN THE DREAM OF THE PEFECTLY PLACED ARROW ON THE SHOT OF A LIFETIME.

True enough...but at some point you have to stop dreaming momentarily and make a purchase.    :)   Then you can start dreaming of the next one.   :archer:

The bow Fred Bear used to take his big Kodiak on the beach. That bow would have a lot of mojo. I would have to learn to shoot left handed, though.
