Mine's going out tomorrow, according to JD Lund. A 56" Mojostik recurve with the never seen before "outline" riser and tempered bamboo limb cores. I'm waiting to see how it looks and shoots, but I'm sure it'll be all I can imagine and a bit more.

Last few nights it has been a Saluki Ibex, I shot one at the Baltimore shoot and it's still in my brain!!!  SWEEEEEET Shooter!!!!          That Schaffer Tip in the classafieds the 3rd one with the Massur birch limbs and rosewood riser, keeps interupting my Saluki dream though!

Well if we are dreaming here it is:
Black Widow PSAX with a bacote or cocobola riser and bamboo instead of red glass in the riser. Bamboo limb cores with juniper veneers and diamondback snake skins. Oh yeah, antler limb bolts too. I almost forgot maybe an extra set of limbs while I am at it.

Do you think they would even make one of those?

I have my favorite bow now. It's a Fred Bear Polar. I just recently found out it's a '57.

The reason it's so special is it belonged to my Dad. I was given the bow just before he died. Told me he loved that bow and wished he'd never gotten  bit by the compound bug. He never took any game with the Polar and told me not to let it die a virgin.

So this October I've got a mission. That's why I've been asking so many questions.

Man , out of these responses I can't believe just one guy, Centaur, was thinking like I was with an eye towards the historical significance of a particular bow, not a particular make.

His was Fred Bear's bow that took the big Kodiak Brown bear.

Mine would be the bow Paul Schafer used to kill the last sheep of his sheep slam.

The bow Schwartzeneggar made in the movie predator.....

it'd have to be a dream bow to shoot through a four inch tree like that one did!!!
