TRADTRACKER MARCH UPDATE
« on: March 26, 2024, 10:35:21 PM »
A number of people have asked about a stronger thread.   Yesterday I received a shipment of a new nylon thread that is 70%+ stronger than the polyester I have been using.   I tested it yesterday and it seems to shoot just as well.   The extra strength is fantastic.   The tradeoffs are:
1.it is about 600 feet vs 1000
2. It is white and does not glow like the orange under a blacklight
3. On a couple of shots I think I could hear it

I look forward to testing it on deer this fall but it definitely seems likr a good turkey option
If interested you can order it on the “New Thread” page on Tradtrackr.com

I love the innovative design of the tracker and I think the new stronger line is a great addition to the tradtracker. I use it solely for turkeys and just ordered some of the new nylon line! Thanks for listening to your customers!

Great idea Norman. This way people would have an option.

Norm, where we hunt in south TX has to be one of the toughest courses for a string Tracker, so maybe next on the next hunts we try out a few spools.  I'll just keep the Tradtrakers you sent to use and if you like, you can send 2 or 3 of those tuffer ones. I'll surely have time to test shoot one before then if you would like another review.

I’ll definitely be ordering some of the new spools! Personally I think 200 yards of string is still fine for most of the areas I hog hunt which is when I use a string tracker anyhow. If anyone’s debating getting one I highly recommend it. A great product at a great price.

Thanks much.   I think the new thread can be great for hogs and turkeys.   Deer to but I think I will end up preferring the longer lighter stuff for deer.   I will definitely try both though.    I am obviously biased but I see no downside to using it.  Worst case it does not hurt to have it on
