You probably know this but in the case of my bow which is a bow bolt takedown, micarta offers more strength for that and is a little heavier. A good friend Allen Boice made this bow and he is now deceased.
I just sent the photo as an example; they do not all look the same. Highly unlikely I would ever sell this one.

Yeah we said it above, micarta is a good choice for a robust hunting bow. I totally understand you , it's the kind of bow that we keep for life, only for what it represents.Sorry for your friend, may he rest in peace.

We have to go through a day of training which provides a certificate, but it is not a very popular way of hunting, and the traditional ones are very rare. 90% of compounds...
