Ordering a new Northern Mist - Shelton, but it won't be here this year.  He's 18-24 moths out.

I'm expecting to soon receive another Toelke Super D. It's 66", 45@29" with a Katalox Riser and Burl Myrtle Veneers. It has taken a long time after a rotator cuff tear to get up to this weight and I had to sell the 3 heavier Super Ds I had after the rotator cuff tear, I'm really looking forward to having another one.

I already have a couple to add this year and the year is still young. I picked up a new to me Morrison 18" ILF riser in Texas Ebony and a set of long max 2 static recurve limbs which are actually Border limbs, at about 50 lbs.
And just before that I found a good deal on a basically new old stock Bear Takedown B riser with a 2R grip and all the parts intact such as the adjustable strike plate and all that. Been looking for a B riser to shoot the shorter limbs with for quite a spell. But I still don't have a wood Bear Takedown riser at all, but there is still time. I do still have the first Bear Takedown riser and limbs given to me in 77 or 78. A black mag A riser, with a set of 53# White tips that are very narrow at the tip like the black widow limbs. I carried that bow everywhere in my pack basket, on many hunts and fishing trips .... always had that thing with me ....

In addition to the Whitetail Hawk I posted earlier in this thread... Yesterday I bought a used "as-new" 52" Cascade Golden Hawk Magnum, 46# at 28".  Steve Gorr made it last year, I'm looking forward to getting it in a couple of weeks.

Good luck with the new super D, Jim.  I’m taking good care of and enjoying one of your old ones!

I was not aware that Steve is making bows.  His bows used to be made in Canada.

Steve's been producing just a few each year lately... I'm under the impression that he's making them himself.   I bought my 56" directly from him last year.  This 52" magnum is from a personal friend of Steve's.  I have been emailing and texting back and forth, with both Steve and the seller, over the past couple of days.  According to that text/email conversation, it sounds like Steve will no longer be producing any more bows of any kind.

I wasn’t planning on buying any new bows in 2024, but a Black Widow PSA with carbon limbs caught my eye at the Tennessee Classic, and having nothing better to do at the time, I tried it out. I put three arrows into the target that were touching each other (and I’m not that good of a shot) and the rest, as you probably could guess, is history.

Have a TimberGhost TGX on order that has my anticipation running high. I have a specific arrow setup that i am anxious to unleash on a goodin this fall.

The Timberghost has been very good to me for many years. Used a TimberGhost this past season to harvest a nicin.

It is to be expected that will be many intense hunts before uttering 'Blood on the arrow...Blood on the ground'.

M60, you hemmed and hawed real good. That is one sweet looking bow.

I'm still shooting my heavy MOABS, but traveling for the 4th year with my new, lighter, 'seasoned' aged bowhunter choice. I'm still gearing up for my golden years.  Since I have done so much damage with my Centaur Triple Carbon TD longbow, I'm getting a Centaur Super Curve TD this year. For me, the Centaur is the new MOAB.

After killing 8 animals in TX in 3 years,(3 hogs and 5 javies while still running the hunt) I am giving the Centaur the nod again. 50@28.

At that point, I'll be set.  I'll still be hunting with my MOABs here and where I drive, but the TDs will be the ones that fly as I'm not paying the airlines one red cent more than I have to.

It's gonna be a looker as well, and I'll post pics when I get it.

I also want a Black Widow carbon TD longbow, so maybe I can work that out also.

I picked up a lightly used Toelke Whistler for my daughter.  Beautiful bow!  Looks like it never went outside.  Shooting 500s very nice, and has her legal to hunt Texas this October at 40#.  These pigs better watch out! :help: :archer2:

I also took delivery of a new Shrew Scout.  This is my second Shrew by Bodnik, and I feel this is the most elegant craftsmanship I’ve seen on a Shrew since John McCullough was making them.  Mr. Cosgrove is doing great things with Shrew Bows.

I recently acquired a pair of Java Man Elkhearts. One is 56" and the other is 54". Both are 46#@28" and the old decrepit bow arm shoulder really appreciates the light mass weight of these bows. Now I need to decide which one gets the nod for the Cloverdale Spring Bear shoot this Saturday!

Nice bows Mike!  I sold a Java Man a while back and do regret it.

Take care, Chase

I purchased a Bearpaw Penthalon shadow ILF with Tradtech Blackmax 2.0 limbs. Shooting either 1916 or 2016 aluminums. So far liking the ILF set up.
