I am new to traditional. But am getting ready to get a couple or 3 bows. Don’t stone me but currently I shoot a compound. I am doing a lot of reading and research on traditional and am wanting to head down to Black Widow in Nixa to shoot some bows as I’m just north of there. I want to shoot anything and everything to mark off what I like and what to mark off the list. I’d like to get a recurve from BW. I’m eyeing their PCH or PSA in osage wood. Also looking at the PL long bow. I’d also like to order a Thunderbird bow(s) from Jay St. Charles for my wife and I to shoot together. She doesn’t shoot archery but wants to learn. I Just know when I shoot these things I will probably make the switch and never look back. The traditional community alone makes me want to go down the rabbit hole. Good people. :archer:

Jeff...you are starting out on the right path especially if you place significant value in what recommendations Black Widow provides you.

I've been wanting one of these for a while and happen to run across this one. Vintage Pacific Yew takedown longbow. I plan to do a little hunting with it.

Moosejaw Razorback 66" 60#@28" is here.  The draw cycle on this bow is incredible.  Bow made in 09/2020 and is not the Semi-curve of previous years.  Gary had intended to hunt this bow but decided to sell it.  This will be a great hunting bow and is very comfortable to shoot.

In addition to the bows I listed in my previous post, I just traded for a Centaur glass longbow. That makes 4 for 2024, so far.

Jeff,
For what it’s worth, I’ve had three or four Black Widow recurves in the house and this last one with the Cooling grip shoots the best for me.

Kdog, John use to be a Sponsor and made the Hope and Faith bows on year.  I took one on the 1st or 2nd LTR hunt and killed a couple of rabbits with it.  I also took it to Scott "Friend" Sanders on a hunt and he saw me shoot a 3 inch group at 20 yards with the Apollo.  No negatives on this bow that I could see.  Tell him I said Hi if you chat with him.
