Mentally—- D bow, had a lot, loved the look but mostly I think I loved the idea/nostalgia

Actually—-R/D my JD Berry Taipain is about 35 ish years old, I have put over 300,000 arrows through it and I’m afraid it will die eventually. But on the R/D bows I like that style.

I have both mild D/R and more radical D/R longbows.  The mild has a "D" shape and the other has more flatness towards the limb tips.  I like the Kota Badlands mild D/R I picked up from St Jude's a couple years ago, but prefer the radical D/R like the MOAB.  Also, have a Big River 21st Century clone that has mild locator grip.

I haven’t shot enough D bows to know for sure but I do love my R/D bows. Especially for hogs, tough with good cast and they generally have my favorite grips.

All I've ever shot and preferred were "D" longbows, until my Sentman which is a very mild R/D design.  I may now be a convert, we'll see.  I'll have to try a more radical R/D.

Aesthetically, D all day.

I've owned a number of Dan Toelke D/R Whips, standard and classic grips. They are to me considering manners and speed the finest shooting bows I've ever shot. That said I find his Super Ds to be the bow that I like even better, there is something about them that is hard to explain but I really, really like them. I tore a rotator cuff during the initial Covid outbreak and sold the 3 Super Ds, 49 to 54 lbs. that I had settled on. Dan made me a 36 lb. Classic Whip which I've shot for a while and I've come back enough now that I should have another Super D, 66" and 45lbs @29" in a couple of weeks. Did I mention I really like them?
