Passing the torch!
« on: July 15, 2024, 10:22:36 AM »

To all our St Joe River Bows family and friends,
David and I have some exciting and perhaps surprising news. We have decided it’s the right time for us to move on to new adventures and to turn St Joe River Bows over to new caretakers. Austin and Courtney Motte. Sometimes you have the serendipity of having the right people come into your life at the right time and that’s exactly what has happened.
Courtney and Austin will continue St Joe’s tradition of providing quality bows for the whole family, caring customer service, unwavering support for our traditional archery organizations and keep this company serving our awesome traditional archery community for many years to come. We have already been working with Austin and Courtney and will continue to do so over the next few months to ensure a smooth and seamless transfer of ownership and craftmanship.
David and I have loved every minute of our time building bows for our St Joe River family, and we are not going to disappear. You’ll see us in all the familiar events, sitting at our campfire and shooting our bows with the grands. Make sure you stop by and give us a hug.
Now let me turn this over to Austin and Courtney and let them introduce themselves. Though I expect most of you know them already.

We are Austin and Courtney Motte. We are excited to continue the tradition of St Joe River Bows. Traditional archery is more than just stick and string to us. It is a lifestyle. Many of you have probably seen us at various shoots and shows throughout the years. We are both proud members and supporters of Michigan Traditional Bowhunters, Michigan Longbow Association, Compton Traditional Bowhunters, Professional Bowhunters Society, just to mention a few.
Austin has been a life-long outdoorsman and has had a bow in his hand for as long as he can remember. Courtney has had a love for adventure and the outdoors since she was little. Shortly after their meeting Courtney quickly found a passion for archery and hunting and their adventuring together began.
Bowhunting has taken us to some beautiful places, and we have met amazing people. We look forward to this next chapter in our lives. We are excited to show you what we have in store for the continuing adventures of St Joe River Bows.

You worked to hard and paid a lot of money for that new bow. Why would you trust protecting it to anything less than Thunderbird Epoxy!!!
