Books; something I can throw in the pack and read on the trail, or wherever I happen to be.  WiFi or not.

I grew up in a time long before digital or audio, as I suspect many of us did. So I still love the tactile feel of a book and its binding, and the smell of the paper and ink.  But I read almost a book per week, and the nearest library is some distance.  I’m not a tree hugger either, but I no longer feel the need for all that paper .  I have a Kindle digital reader, I can read it anywhere and anytime of day, doesn’t need light, only needs wifi to load the next book, the battery lasts over a week when charged, and its waterproof within reason. Costs more however, cause you can’t buy a used book on it.  Maybe someone will figure that out.

I prefer books, for what they provide. A beautiful library or a shelf of books on subjects that fascinate and inspire us are elements in a home that allow you to feel surrounded by good vibes. I always take a few books when I go on a trip, to protect myself from a network outage (:knothead:) but above all for the feeling that this pile of books makes me feel at home...

I agree with Noah on the practical side of the Kindle, especially for the press and magazines!

Books all the way.  I tried the digital, and I just don't like it all.  I enjoy turning the pages and the tactile experience of the process.  I also enjoy having a library.

May be a small sample, but it Books all the way.  I'ts easy to convert a book to digital, as I did with Charlie's book, so it looks like books are the way to go still.  Thanks.

I prefer print, but audio books are nice for those long drives out West.

A book of stories would be great Terry.  We could gain insight about your techniques as we read along. Of course there would need to be several Javi hunting adventures included. Bears, pigs, bison..... JV

I love printed books.  Like everyone already said, tangible in my hand, go anywhere, no attchment to power.  Makes great library, which to me just feels like surrounded by that wisdom and legacy.  I tried digital not same for me.  Plus, I had several when it crashed and yep had to buy again.
Audiobooks is my 2nd favorite, especially when travel in truck.  If dont have one a podcast is on.  Which that may be a more economic option.  Do episodes on stories, get feedback have guests on from tradgang.
