Arrow setup for 45# longbow
« on: July 23, 2024, 08:47:56 PM »
New to traditntal archery, trying to find the sweet spot for what arrows work best for my bow.
It's 44# at a 26" draw length. The bow itself is 57"
My plan is to eventually kill an elk with this bow, so I'm looking for arrow setup recommendations that would best suit that.
Thank you.

Is it a recurve or longbow? Is it center shot? I would go to 3Rivers Archery's website to use their spine calculator and that should get you close. For my short 56" 45lb palmer Recurve I shoot GoldTip 500's with 50gr brass insert and 175gr point but for my 58" 47lb Palmer Recurve 1 shoot the same arrow but with only 125gr point.
