A friend and I have been doing an annual bow camp for the past 4 years now. The past 3 years, we’ve been having the camp in IL. This year, my dad was even able to join us for a couple of days in camp. I just happened to be the only person hunting this year, but we still had a good time. I was able to get this buck the last hunt of the trip. It was on a piece of permission ground, which consists mostly of fields and not much timber. I got lucky and found some scrapes in a field corner within view of a main highway. I got setup just off the field and shot this buck at 10 yards. Easy recovery and drag out. My 3 year old son said he wanted me to get a “medium” buck, and he gave me his approval with this one. He informed me that the skull will be going in his room.
