In 2003 when I first got started in the bowhinting world I shot a wheelie and magnus 2 blade 100 grain 1'1/8 th heads. Easy to sharpen and very accurate. I never had the opportunity to employ them on game but that is not there fault.
Switched to expandable for years. Mixed results but it all looked like on TV and the hype had me.
Lost interest in the wheel bows and fell back in love with the recurve I shot when I was a kid.
Well back to magnus but those old heads are not around anymore. Stinger buzzcut 125 in front of 100 grains of brass seemed right.
Tested on two whitetail this year. One buck and one doe. Both shots were right around 18-19 yards and neither one reacted to the shot much at all. I was stunned. Years of deer running like there tails are on fire at the shot over. Just twang, thump, hop skip, jump, ass wiggle and fall. Can not go back ever. Hooked for life and if you need a solid cut on contact that is easy to sharpen magnus has your answer.
