There once was a man named Chris Surtees, and he was a HUGE Tradgang fan. Actually he lived here. Chris went on many of the group hunts and leases as well. He also was a big supporter of the St Jude's auction every year. He shared posts, pictures, and know how here constantly. Everyone liked Chris.
Tragically, Chris suddenly passed away in an unexpected accident and leaving behind his two young kids without a dad. The shock was tremendous here over such a tragedy to say the least.
We decided to have an auction in Chris's honor for his young children. The funds would go into a trust that their grandfather Larry Sutees was going to start. That way the money could be spent at their decision. Whether to help with college years later, a reserve in case of some type of emergency or any special something they might need.
We decided to have a ceremony at a group hunt at Solana Ranch that Chris's dad Larry was attending. The ceremony in it's self was emotional and very special. Now, Larry knew about the ceremony, but he did not know we were going to present the money to him at the ceremony, and he had no idea how much it was.
I will find the post and pictures and story from that ceremony when I get a chance to find them soon. I don't want to give it away here and now. I also have a couple of other stories too I will post as well. I just want this first post to be about the heartwarming experience out of the blue that is at hand. So stay tuned....
The Hear Warming Story.....
