My new Fox arrived
« on: May 23, 2008, 09:55:00 AM »
I ordered a new Fox Breed at Kalamazoo this past March and been on pins and needles since. Well the wait is over, it arrived yesterday. This bow is just perfect. I told Ron that I wanted lots of figure and some knots and something different. Well, I got what I wanted. This bow looks great. On the belly side of the bow, the fade outs are wild looking. Above the riser the bocote grain looks like a grizzly bears head. And on the bottom of the same fade out, it looks like grizzly bear claws. I'm going to take some pics of the bow today and let you see what I'm talking about. I picked up a 2215 out of my pile and the first arrow flew like a dart and hit right where I was looking. I'm very impressed with this new bow. It's going to be going to Colorado for elk this fall. Thanks Ron and Debbie, you guys did a great Job.

Pics on the way. JOHN

I wish I could take credit for that "Picher", but I found it somewhere else online. I thought it was funny also.

I shot The Breed at the Trad show in Kzoo also...almost ordered one and will some day have one.

I'd name it the Screamer after the painting titled "The Scream".  The figure in the limb looks like the head on the painting.

Very nice looking bow...what are the spec's?

Dannon you are a hilarious bugger - that made my day.  Wish I had some dodgy mates like yours!#%!

I received my Fox Royal Crown just recently and love that bow to bits.  I have had bows that shot as well, but never anything that looked as suptuous and gorgeous as my Fox.  This bow is a family heirloom and is going nowhere.

After owning a Toelke Whip in the past I never thought anybody could beat Dan for finish and attention to detail - I think I was wrong.

The wretched thing cost me nearly 200 bucks US for postage to Australia - but it was well worth it.

Congrat's on the new bow!

Sutto, that is some expensive shipping. Why so much?  Ron sure is a great guy to work with.

Oliverstacy That picture is almost frightening. I'll be afraid to take that bow in the woods when it's dark. LOL!

yes John - the price has been creeeping up over the years.  It was mainly because it was a one-piece.  I will be ordering all T/D bows from now on.  My new Lee that is due in a couple of weeks was only about 55 for postage - a big difference.

I think because of the longer length they cannot be sent with USPS - they have to come via courier (in this case was FedEx) - and they are much more expensive.

It killed me at the time but now I have a truly gorgeous bow!  I often just sit in the sunlight and admire the grain in the Yew on the limbs and the Cocobolo riser.  Did I also mention that it shoots very well and I am driving tacks with it at the moment.
