the short question is...IS 470 grs carbon arrow weight good for bear ,deer,turkey..the bow weight is 50 #....the reason why i ask is becuase i am going from wood to carbon and the weight feels differant...or maybe i am just being stupid..BUT i do like shooting them..ALSO.what weight would be good for ELK in carbons...i am new to this carbon world..any info would be good...thanks john

General answer: YES
What is being overlooked here is what poundage are you shooting this arrow from?
How many grains per pound of bow weight do you arrive at with that 470gr total arrow weight? That is most likely the more meaningful big picture ............ In the realm of 10 - 12 grains per pound is a sweet spot for many many a bow hunter.

Sounds like you are right around 10gpp. A Decent hunting weight arrow anyhow. And able to kill just about any critter on this continent.

……. That’s figured by 50# at 28”, losing a few inches of draw and that corresponding weight loss.
