The Rendezvous is moving.  I believe they will announce the new venue in June, probably at this years gathering.

I spoke to someone from the Berrien Springs club....they are aging out as an organization, and don't have many younger folks volunteering.

Rumor is that it will be somewhere in Ohio.

Yep - This is the last year at Berrien Springs.
Haven't heard where the new location is going to be.

Yep as Roger said, and from what I heard through the grapevine it could be a place close to Indianapolis Indiana or Columbus Ohio that can handle the job efficiently. One or the other for sure.

Thanks for the responses. Hopefully they’ll find a place that will accommodate the traditional community. I had a good time last year, plan on going again this year.

I was kind of hoping they would look at a location near the center of the country like, Kansas City, Omaha, St. Louis etc... I don't personally know of any clubs who could accommodate such a large gathering. I have confidence in Compton that all things will be considered and they'll make their choice accordingly. Lots of things to consider.

Yes I heard this when we were at Compton last summer. It's been there at Berrien Springs forever but the club is getting older and tired. A new location will be interesting. There are just not that many venues that have the space for all the vendors, seminars, camping and shooting ranges. I'm wishing them the best in a new location cause I know how much work they will have into locating one.

I believe I know of a great location that could accommodate the space needed for everything, and a small archery club already operates a wooded course there.  But, is the bigger issue finding an Archery/Shooting club that will basically host and run the event for Compton.  ie: set up the shooting course(s) and provide all the 3D targets,  provide concessions, porta potties...etc?  If that's the case, the place I'm thinking of probably doesn't have the manpower or finances to procure all the 3D target. But the location in NW Wisc. is beautiful, on a picturesque lake, attached campground, large open fields for parking and/or vendor tents.

Will this "last year" affect the Rendezvous itself at Berrien Springs this year?  I just came across some cheap plane tickets from Alaska and might want to go down for a week to the 2025 Rendezvous.  I've been there several times in the past 15 years or so, from when I lived in the Midwest.  Would this be a huge final year there, or to the contrary... would it be a little less robust than usual?  I'd hate to put a lot of time and money into and then find that it wasn't what I expected.

I know the board has been touring many options looking for a location that offers everything that is needed for this event. My guess will be that the new location will be even better in the end.

I suspect they will not announce until the Rendezvous where it will move to.

Bow man I'll bet your right. That would be my guess as well. A lot to consider when choosing a new location.
