Pic problems
« on: February 18, 2025, 08:48:16 PM »
As of late, when I try to post a picture in the Bow Swap thread the pic comes through GIANT, like it is zoomed in. Any advise?

Pic below for example

Hey Jon try this, after selecting the image to add the the post from the choose file button the "(Insert Attachment 1)" will become clickable and if you click it, it will usually resize the photo for the text format.

The tail end attachment seems to allow full file size

Cell phones take huge pixel pictures, change the camera setting in your phone to take smaller pictures.

I reduced the size, it was very large pixels.

For a couple bucks a year you can use this app to crop, resize and rotate your phone pictures.

If you have had trouble with the mysterious sideways or upside down display of your photos,  this app is the fix.  The photo will show if it needs rotation even though it shows right side up on your phone.  Rotate it in the app and it will always be right.

It can do everything needed also on your PC.

Paint is a great program to write on a photo, or combine several photos too. but you need to resize them saving to file.

The program i like best for quick photo editing is Microsoft Picture manager. It used to be a standard program in the package with earlier windows software, but isn't included in windows 10.  but... you can still get the download from Microsoft and add it to your PC. It's incredibly user friendly.

The simplests way to go for photos is setting up google photos on your phone. They automatically upload to your google photos app and that program has editing. The trick to that is to set the size of the saved / uploaded photos to large, and not full size. This way its Free storage on Google Photos and will not take up so much space...  The really cool part using google photos is that you can create an album and add photos as you go, then just post a link to the album via text, email, or on the forum.

or this one.... I do these albums for my customers and they really enjoy it.
