Source for Sitka Spruce shafts
« on: March 16, 2025, 08:25:00 PM »
Does anyone have a source for good quality Sitka Spruce shafts.  The last I knew Hildebrand wasn’t taking orders and TrueShaft has been less than responsive to my attempts to purchase.

I can stay in the 10-11grains per pound with Sitka Spruce in some of my lighter longbow.

What spines are you needing and what length arrow, bop?

Which trueshaft company are you trying to contact?

Try this one.

Kelly,

I am primarily looking for 55-60 shafts at least 29 1/2 BOP, but I can use some 50-55 too.

Roy,

That is the TrueShaft I have tried contacting repeatedly.

Thanks,
DP

Dave,  if you don't mind using 23/64 dia. shafts, Andy has the spines you're looking for in stock. Premium grade, he's sold out in Hunter grade.
I've used 23/64 in the past when I couldn't get 11/32 and I had no issues.
