Anybody from south central Indiana go up there? Never been, but sounds like the Super Bowl of the traditional archery community get togethers.

I think people from everywhere are there. I have a friend in southern Indiana that goes. I’m in Florida and I go. There was a woman I heard someone chatting with last year that said she flew from the UK just for it.

Maddie was the girl from the UK, heck of a shot! I watch the Push that had the bowhunters of etar and Curt’s channel ( Traflife Flims ) not sure if he’s on here much anymore, awesome dude, like to meet him someday!
Think’n pretty hard about making the drive. Looks like it’s around 9 and a half hours from where I’m at. Not sure I can stand myself for that long, but we’ll see!

I’m at least 24 hours drive. I’m only guessing that as knew many who drove up this way.  Plus an 8 hour ferry ride.   And that would t stop me if I just had the time off. I’d drive down in a heart beat.

Curios. I guess this is hard to answer.  Many have lighter bows in the YouTube videos.  On average, how many shots per hour or day are people shooting.  My bows may be too heavy to shoot a lot.   But I’ve been out of action for a while so I also know I’ll get use to the weight again if I shot a lot.   I’ve only fired a couple dozen every other day lately.

I’m originally from south central Indiana and still where my Wife and I hunt. We go to ETAR nearly every year.  Oddly, we won’t make it this year most likely But, yes it is definitely worth it.   Numerous people from the area make the trip.

My Wife and I shoot our hunting bows. She shoot’s 49#. I shoot 60#.   We usually shoot 50 up to a 100 arrows a day while there.  We shoot most of the courses a few times.  We really have enjoyed ourselves at ETAR for many years.

I thought I replied earlier but must not of went through.     You guys shooting heavy weight.    That will give me a baseline.  I’ll try to see to it I go roving one day and shoot a hundred to see how I feel about it. Over the coarse of a full day I don’t think I’d have any trouble. I didn’t know if you take half dozen shots and then 5 minutes later you’re taking another half dozen at another target.  It wouldnt take too long to pass 100 arrows over the rest like that.

I've never really counted my shots per day. I shoot a lot of consecutive days in a row at times, then sometimes not.  If I shoot a lot more than the norm for a day I take the next day off for muscle repair and rebuild.

I think they ask you to limit shots to 2 per target if I remember right. There’s plenty of targets spread 6 courses or whatever it is.

You’ll put some distance on your shoes if you shoot for the weekend and hit everything once.

What he said exactly, and I'll add....

Weight has nothing to do with it, its conditioning.  Whether you shoot 40, 50, 60, or 70#s, you are conditioned to some level at the weight you are shooting.

No doubt. Something to it. You read guys 40-50 years ago.  65 lbs , 70 lbs seemed normal. Now it’s considered heavy.  When you watch hh shooting.  It’s what? 75 lbs. you’d never tell when you watch them drawing the bows.   Not a big fellow it appeared
