Just wanted to show a pic of my little girl with her award from the PeeWee division at the ARTAC "The Real Thing" shoot this weekend.  She is five and shot three rounds this weekend.  20 targets Friday evening, 25 targets on Saturday, and 25 on Sunday.

It was hot and she was a trooper, waiting for her turn to shoot.  I especially want to thank all of the people we shot with in the different groups.  They were so kind to her and made her feel like part of the group.  I couldn't ask for anything more.  

I am definitely blessed that she enjoys shooting and didn't complain too much despite the heat.

Her name is Jacquelyn.  Yeah, I think Nancy took 3rd in the women's recurve.  we shot with her and Mike Johnson.  Two top notch people.  
I am thinking of taking my daughter to the primitive expo the first week of June.

Congrats to her.  I think I might have passed ya'll while walking to start the course.  Wish I would have know it was you, I would have introduced myself.  My wife came out and shot 1 round yesterday with me.  Great group of people and you're right about the heat!

She sure worked hard for that medal. Such a victory is sweet indeed. Give that gorgeous gal a hug! I think she can shoot more targets in a weekend than I can!

Hear, hear!  My oldest daughter is a competitive rifle and handgun shooter and hunter...hasn't gotten into archery....maybe after college.  That said, she is very good - 7 one shot kills and no misses!  Way to hook her early, we are all proud of her making it through 3 rounds - that's a lot for most folks.
