i just made up some arrows for my lewis hollow longbow.the seem to fly pretty good, everyones telling me i need to cut them down.i left them full length and put 5 grains per inch tubes in them and put 175s on the front which mad a total arrow weight of 662grains i kinda like a heavy arrow.the arrow length is 30.5 but they fly pretty good .what do all you guys think should i trim'em down a bit or not?

Arrows can look like they are flying very well, but in reality still not be nearly as good as they could be. I'm a big fan of paper tuning. It shows very well what the arrow is actually doing. My suggestion would be to shoot thru some newspaper and see what they are really doing. If they are a little weak, you can shorten them up; if they are stiff, you can add some point weight; if they are shooting holes leave them as they are. It doesn't hurt to shoot an arrow that is long.
