Longhunter "Ghost" shirt
« on: May 27, 2008, 09:07:00 AM »
I got a sample shirt with the striped wool going vertical. I brought it along last weekend to see how it would blend in when worn in the woods. I've got to say that it really works well. In one picture if it wasn't for my white beard I'd be almost invisible.

Wool unlike synthetics doesn't reflect light. In fact just the opposite, it absorbs light making it blend into it's surroundings.

Ron, what weight are those shirts?  How much are they?  I like the color and the vertical stripes!  could be good for turkeys, as well as deer.

Bob, they're medium weight and I should have them around mid August. The price is not determined yet.

Nice shirt, Ron. I know you're into flintlocks, are these shirts HC for any particular period? I belong to a group called "The Ancient Ones of Maine" and it'd be nice to have a good wool shirt for fall rendezvous and small game hunting.

sooo, Ron, does the beard go so you totally blend in?  Or-are you and that deadly Shrew giving them a chance to evade by keeping the beard?

Can you put the price up when determined or just tell us the price is on the site so we can order one?

The beard doesn't go but sometimes it gets a paint job.

I shaved mine when my son told me I looked like Santa!  I still grow it each hunting season.  Shave it Christmas Eve, 'cause that was a Christmas present for Granny, My mom!
Love the long shirts!
