steel adapters w/your choice of BH can be every bit as strong and straight as one-piece heads with the right glue----24 hour epoxy or JB Weld.

It has to do with the reason I got into traditional from compounds..........simplicity.  I may not have the most traditional set up in the end, but it'll be close to the simplest.   :)

I know that there are broadheads out there for 30 bucks a half dozen, and I know there are 200 grain braidheads, but are is there one that can give me both?

None, but if you get rid of the "no adapters" issue you can find plenty that fit in that 6 for $30 category. And all of those have killed an aircraft carrier full of game. Adapters work great, simple as anything else, strong, no issues whatsoever. But, if you don't want adapters, you just don't want adapters....I may not understand it but it's yer criteria, have fun looking.

Like JC said, but many factory screw in broadheads are just glue on with adapters installed for you. Wether it is a furrel that the blade is screwed to or glued to is not realy that diferent.

What do you do if you shoot wood arrows? I am currently shooting 160gr. glue-on bhds. I would like to go up to 200gr and give it a try. I have heard some drill and put shot or something to weight the front end. I wish there was another way. Like a glue-on adaptor for your glue-on broadhead.

A six pack of 200 grain broadheads for under 30 dollars just simply does not exist.  Either decide to pay more or use an adapter.  dino

160 gr. Grizzly+125gr.steel broadhead adapter+100gr. brass insert=385gr. total weight on the front of Axis 340 31" long. Shoot extremely well and unbelieveable penetration.

250 Minimum, prefer 350. 125 BH with 125 Steel BH adapter min... will go though anything other than a solid big round bone.

Thanks Pete. I looked at them. I don't like the idea that they are vented. I have heard that vented heads make noise....?

200 grain ACE head is not vented,and is a glue on for wood shafts.
Dennis(manyletters) carries them I think they run about 20-25 $(canadian) for 6.
They make for a deadly combination on Birch shafts, mine go just over 840 Grains.

No vents on the 200 Ace. These are just big 2 blades that cut a wide path.
 I have never had a problem with vented blades either. I think it depends on how well the broadhead/arrow is tuned, and if there are any rough edges in the vents that ned to be filed off.

Extreme FOC and Carbon arrows are like Apple Pie and Ice cream. Some things are made for each other.
