GREAT DAY!
« on: May 29, 2008, 01:23:00 AM »
Cowboyroy my son Tater and I went to a Knap-in this last weekend and we had a blast. It was on the Brazos river south of Weatherford. Tater ain't shy, and he jumped in the middle of everything. Every time I looked around he was doing something else. He knaped flint, he threw hawks, he threw the atlatl he shot bows.He talked the ears off of the mountain men. What a great day we had! I have included some pics.

Was Scalp Creek (Jerry Adams ) there?  He is a heck of a knapper and someone who really likes to help out new knappers.  Looks like a great time.  Wished we had a knap in or two around west Michigan.

Wow! Overall looks like fun but I can't get past the dude with no britches.  That took a set.  The irony being that I wouldn't want my "set" that unprotected around tomahawks and obsidian.  Yikes!
