If you have access to light poles how about setting one in the ground and a cheap ladder stand?

Ive got a tree I can put a stand in but want a platform to shoot from, especially for when the grandkids start shooting, had a hang-on in a tree for about 2-3 yrs. but want something better to shoot from, I dont have any trouble shooting from stands just want something a little more convenient..

dean,

I hear ya' and only mention the utility pole option cause mine are free and I'm cheap. Once the first pole is in the ground it is used to safely stand any other poles into place using rigging. The first pole to upright is the dangerous one and more likely to get away from you. Good help and guide lines are required. The advantage to poles is the strength and height which makes one great lofty platform/clubhouse and zipline. If I only wanted eight to ten foot heights I'd still use poles(free) and cut them in half.

I just climb up on the roof of my house, Got targets in front, back, sides. Shoot from wherever I want.

I can get the poles free from local utility, neighbor has a big Kubota tractor said he would help stick them in the ground so may give that a shot...thanks for all the suggestions guys.
