Inserts or adaptersfo carbons?
« on: February 17, 2007, 09:29:00 PM »
Tring to use carbons for the first time out of my recurve.  My bow is 57# @ 27 and I am going to be shooting either 145 gr snuffers or 135 grain magnus 2 blades,  Would you recomend adding the inserts to the whole length of the arrow or getting the heavy adapters to add to the front of the arrow.

Which carbons do you plan to use and what will you be hunting.  I prefer a well placed flat shooting arrow and use the standard insert and either 100 or 125 grain heads.  I have no problem achieving good weight or blowing through Whitetails.

I use GT Trads, Carbon Express CX and Beman MFX Classics.

Get some 100 grain brass inserts and if you need more weight in front use 100 or 125 grain steel screw in adapters.
