Great bows for sure! For a Traditional D style longbow this bow is as fast or faster than hybrids I shot and Quiet! Really likes heavy arrows too.  I can't put mine  down. Just a fun bow to shoot. KYArcher with those specs let me know if you don't like yours! LOL!

Blackhawk Vapor carbonwood 3000 with 250 grains up front cut to 28"s. GoldTip 35/55 Traditionals cut to 27 3/4's with 250 grains up   front I should go heavier up front on those maybe 300. Nope didn't post pictures, Junior is in  France with the new Sony digital. Maybe I'll post some with the oldie.

Forgot to say my Bud brought over some 55/60 28" Tapered cedars with 150grains up front and the bow really liked them too.I thought I would never shoot cedars but after shooting those tapered cedars I might have to order some.

I'm looking at a couple of Vince's bows right now....  How is the handshock, and what is the approx brace height on his bows?

Thanks,
Mike

Had mine for a couple weeks now.  It's 64", 57@28, dark bamboo limbs with a super figured bacote riser/overlays and two red stripes. I can't give enough praise about this bow or about Vince and his customer service. If you're a fan of mild R/D bows, which I am, Vince has nailed everything good about the design.  You guys that have one coming are in for a treat that starts the moment you open the package and only gets sweeter with each shot.  Simply outstanding.

The brace on mine is set at 6 5/8, but I haven't finished fine tuning yet and expect I'll probably end up closer to 6 1/2.  I'm shooting Griz Alaskans with brass inserts and a 260 head cut at 29" for a total weight of around 680gr.

I'll be posting some pics and more about this bow after a hog hunt at the end of the month.

Vince told me 6 1/2 to 6 3/4 on the brace height. And Vince is just great to talk to about his bows ( and Harleys too)would have to agree about the customer service A++++. Reading your thread Molson has got me even more excited.

Mine is gonna be 48@28, 54@30.  It is 66" cocabola riser with the two pinstripe swoop.  Tonkin bamboo cores with red elm for the outer lams.
I have been looking for a d shape bow for a while and think I might have found her.  I will know by Friday.
Vince is one of the nicest bowyers I have dealt with and I have had a few bows.  I sure am looking forward to putting this one through the ringer.

I shot the bow that Bentpole has. The hand grip fit my hand very nicely. I shot this bow pretty well considering I haven't shot a bow in a few weeks. I also liked the looks of the riser wood and the accent stripes. The limb tips were real nice looking too. What I liked the most cosmeticly was the satin non light reflective finish on the bow. I could go on about this bow but you have to either see picts of it or shoot one.

Rob you gotta tell me what you think of that one when it comes in.  I'm leaning toward going the same way for my next one, just a bit heavier.

Will do, Tim.

If it works out as I suspect it will, I'll have one 'Hawk too many.  Hmmm ....    :saywhat:
