Brace height suggestion?
« on: June 06, 2008, 09:26:00 PM »
Need a little advice with the brace height of a bow I just finished.  The bow is 56" long and about 35# at 22".  It started out as a 68" bow that didn't turn out right.  So I cut it down and decided to make a bow for a youngster.  Right now the brace is at 5".  Does this sound right for a bow of this size and weight?  Any suggestions would be appreciated.  Thanks.

IF it shoots good at that height should be O.K., not a expert but can you twist it up any higher and shoot it?

I can twist it up some.  With this short of a draw it's hard for me to get a good feel for it.  I don't really even have any arrows for it so I'm just shooting the smallest thing I have.  I'll play around with it and see what I can do.  Thanks.
