What spine CX Heritage shafts for me???
« on: June 07, 2008, 10:23:00 AM »
I've got a 55#@28" with a draw length of 26.5", I'd like 225 grains upfront. What spine should I choose?

Clayton,

With that draw length, I think the Heritage 150s would be good for you. Maybe someone else can chime on and confirm....?  ;)

I second Leopards post
I tried 150s out of my widow 57@29 with 210 up front and they were a little to weak.Went to 250s and they were perfect

Thanks Leopard, I've been shooting with 4560 CX Rebels but wanted to get the Heritage shafts. The trad "expert" at the shop where I was going to buy the shafts said I should get the 350's - I knew he was no expert after that.

You will probably need the 150s if you don't want them full length.  You didn't mention what kind of bow, and to what degree it's cut to center.  If longbow, definitely 150s.  If recurve cut to center, probably 150s.

NO!!!!    :scared:   350s will be WAY too stiff out of that setup, Clayton!
Sounds like this trad "expert" is not so expert!

Cut 250s to 30 or 31" it works well with my Kemph Stealth Recurve @ 54lbs at 28 I use 100gr inserts and 175 to 200 gr points with perfect flight If you are shooting with a long bow 150s would be right as long bows dont have the power of recurves and need a softer spline another cx shaft that should not be overlooked is there 45 to 60lb terminator shafts they are strong and very tough als weigh 12 gr per " perfect for hunting or stumping
