Who Builds Good Woodies????
« on: June 07, 2008, 05:06:00 PM »
I'm shooting some Sitka Spruce Woodies that came from Ron La Clairs shop, and like them, but I hear his arrowsmith is really backed up right now.  Who builds a good arrow, and I don't want to get into making them myself at this time.  I, don't mind fletching, but I don't want get involved in staining, and sealing shafts at this time.

There was a guy on here jflint or something like that, but I don't see him anymore. So, who do you suggest?

Thanks,
Mike

I build my own hickorys, so I cannot speak from experience, but I believe any fletcher on the Trad. Gang  sponser list would build you a good shaft.

I usually build my own but will occasionally get lazy and buy some really nice arrows from Scott Greaves at Old South.

I've always received great service and terrific arrows from Scott.

I recently saw that Scott was recommended on the A&H ACS site too.

I buy the tapered cedar shafts from Kustom King. I cannot vouch fo their arrows, but I cannot believe that they would not be high quality.
