Anyone Shoot'n / LeRoy's String
« on: June 08, 2008, 07:17:00 PM »
Although it was in the 90's today and sweat'n like Mike Tyson in a spelling bee. I fletched up a couple arrows and decided to give LeRoy's new string a go. After about ten warm up shots I settled in on this. Bear Grizzly #52 , 2016 arrow distance was 18 yds. I have a REAL GOOD FEEL'N LeRoy was watch'n.
THANKS BRO.. God Bless..

I have one on almost all my bows and quote a few back ups as well.  Yup he made one of the best strings I think I will ever use.

Got one just a few days before his untimely exit.  It resides on my Morrison Shawnee and is a fine string, a simlitude to the man that wove it.

Thanks MJB, I have wondered if anyone still pauses in contemplation for LeRoy.  This world we live in is unforgiving.  A life time goes into the making of a man and is seemingly forgotten overnight.  I made a conscious decision some time back that I would not so easily forget those that pass having touched my life.  It just needs to be this way - to honor someone's memory.  It is the best we can do and what we should hope others will do for us.  Gone but not forgotten.

I make a lot of my own strings, but his were better by far. I was sure looking forward to ordering more.

Yup, shot one last night...resides on my Horne Brushbow that LeRoy sold to me. I have a spare, and a couple for my Firefly also. My wife's Bear recurve also wears a very nice string he made for her!
Here's a pic of the Horne...man that snow looks good after all this heat!!

He'll be missed in our BuckJam deer camp...but he'll be with each of us on the hunts!
